My first post on this site.. I usually just watch the messages come in whilst I'm trying to learn a little Old Norse. but knew i might be able to help with this one..

I've only found one band that uses Old Norse in there songs.. tho not exclusively, and that is Asmegin

(review can be found here http://www.spirit-of-metal.com/album-groupe-Asmegin-nom_album-Hin_Vordende_Sod___So-l-en.html)

'Songs were written in Norwegian, old Norse, and older dialects of Norwegian'

the style of music is one of those that probably won't appeal to everyone, it verges on that heavier side of metal.

'Valgalder' is a good song of theirs

and you might in particular be interested in this one, called
'Old Norse Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCbr5PobJbA

This one isn't a 'Heavy Metal' song, more accoustic, and might be appreciated by a few more people.

If anyone else knows of any other groups/individuals, I would also be very interested to know.

Hope that was of some help, and if that style of music is your cup of tea, I've got plenty more like it.
Craig.
