Then he recapitulated it when Mord named (people to? or a) witness (votta
being the verb in this case or is this accus. sing.?) to it that the verdict
against (Flosi) was given. Then he summed it up

case.
Þá mælti Gissur hvíti: "Fleira munt þú Mörður eiga að gera því að eigi munu
fernar tylftir dæma eiga."
Then Gissur the White spoke, "You will have to do more, Mord, because four
twelves will not be entitled to judge."
Flosi mælti nú við Eyjólf: "Hvað er nú til ráða?"
Flosi spoke now with Eyjolf, "What is now the plan?"
Eyjólfur svarar: "Nú er úr vöndu að ráða en þó skulum vér nú bíða því að eg
get að nú
Eyjolf answers, "Now this is a difficult case (Z) but still we shall now
wait because I think that now
geri þeir rangt í sókninni því að Mörður beiddi þegar dóms á málinu. En þeir
eiga að
(it) happens wrong in the case because Mord asked immediately for the court
(to decide) the case. But they have to

And when it was judged then Eyjolf named (people to) witness for himself and
called their court nullified and all
það er þeir höfðu að gert, fann það til að dæmt hafði hálft fjórða tylft þar
sem þrennar áttu
that which they had done, gave it as a reason to have judged half four
twelves (48 - 6= 42) whereas three (dozen) had
að dæma "skulum vér nú sækja fimmtardómssakar vorar á þá og gera þá seka."
