Eyjólfur Bölverksson spurði nú Sigfússonu að um aðra búa þá er kvaddir voru.
Eyjólf Bölverk’s-son asked now Sigfús’s-sons about those other neighbours who were summoned.

Þeir kváðu vera þá fjóra er rangkvaddir voru "því að þeir sitja heima er nærri voru."
They declared them (but not themselves, not reflexive) to be four who were wrongly-summoned ‘because they (ie others) sit at home who were nearer (to the action, ie who were more neighbourly).’


Eyjólfur nefnir sér þá votta að hann ryður þá alla fjóra menn úr kviðinum og
Eyjólf called for himself then witnesses that he challenges all those four men out of the jury and

mælti réttum ruðningarmálum.

Síðan mælti hann til búanna: "Þér eruð skyldir til að gera hvorumtveggjum lög (acc. direct object of gera).
After-that he spoke to the neighbours: ‘You are bound to make (arbitrate fairly) law for each-of-the-two-(sides)

Nú skuluð þér ganga að dómi þá er (then when rather than those who) þér eruð kvaddir og nefna yður votta
Now you shall walk to court when you are summoned and call for yourself witnesses

að þér látið það standa fyrir (see standa fyrir e-u, Z15) kviðburði yðrum að þér eruð fimm beiddir (beiða, requested)

búakviðar en þér eigið níu að bera. Mun Þórhallur þá öllum málum (plural all cases, now an into the future) fram koma
verdicts-of-neighbours but you are-obliged to carry a nine (man verdict). Þórhall will then bring forward (effect, be succesful in) all suits

ef hann bergur (bjarga) þessu við."

Fannst það nú á í öllu að þeir Flosi og Eyjólfur hældust (hoelast).
