but more "plegmy" sounding and less "hissy".
 
THanks Em for that - I have to agree with you - ll is quite definitely more phlegmy and less hissy,
I appreciate that expression - I am not a qualified Welsh Speaker, but I believe it is a beautiful
language. and most appealing is your assertion to pretend "Cat"  - yes I see your point there

Try for a gutteral "hiss" - kind of at the same "vibration" as the Scottish
"ch" ("loch"), but at the top-front third of the palate - and try to say
"h(almost-pronounced ch)ll".  Pretend you're an angry cat trying to say "L".
