asatru is a religion that people practice today. it is a religion that
is what the ancient peoples of northern euorpe practiced. it has the
norse gods and norse mythology. so it pretty much is the norse religion.
except i think some of the holidays are want the vikings celebrated.
eg.
on April 9 there is a holiday that is celebrated in the memory of
Hokan. they celebrate this because Hokan conquered a small piece of
territory in northern Norway and banished Christianity. he brought back
the old ways of the norse people and many people became disciples of
him.
