> So `kermaðr' is correct Old Norse for cup/goblet bearer?
The compound isn't attested in any Old Norse text, as far as I know,
so how it might have been interpreted, supposing it had ever been
coined, is a matter of speculation. Someone who carries a cup, like
skutilsveinn? Someone who drinks from a cup, like drykkjumaðr? Neil
listed the actual Old Norse words in his original message. (Another
one is the simple 'byrli' = 'byrlari'.)
