"solitude". I know I've asked about this before, however, I would
simply like to know the meanings of the words listed (I have Sigurður
Örn Bogason's Ensk-íslenzk orðabók - it was written for Icelanders) as
quoted from the dictionary -

einangraður; to live in solitude.

afvikinn - remote, off the beaten track
eyðistaður - deserted place
óbyggðir (f.pl.) - wilderness, uninhabited area
það að vera - to be
einangraður - isolated

You might find this useful; it has entries for all these words except
'eyðistaður':
