Entirely possible, but I was not speaking as seriously as you
think, Patricia. Let's say it was 10% seriousness, 45% jesting,
45% rhetoric. Because I don't see the possibility of you changing
into either of these spiteful and vengeance-driven women!

Just keep in mind that although Hallgerður is obviously quite
damaged and would probably have caused disaster anyway, it was
Bergþóra who "fired the first shot" in their relations. At the
moment she offends Hallgerður at the feast (and remember H. was
a guest) she has set in motion a terrible avalanche of vengeance
and murder that will ultimately result in her own death.

Consider whether she really needed to do that. The saga doesn't
exactly say that Hallgerður was in an inappropriate place, does it?
