Subject: [norse_course] Newbie has a question

Hello to everyone in the Norse_Course group,

I'm new to the group, and only recently have started learning
Scandinavian languages, but I speak fluent German and English. I
would like to know where to find legal texts (codes/last wills/royal
decrees etc.) in Old Norse or Old Swedish/Norwegian.

I’ve found some in Old Swedish and Danish/Jutlandic at
http://laurentius.lub.lu.se/index_by_idno.html, which is the database of
the University of Lund. I’ve also got the text of a will in Old English
dating from around AD 800, if anyone wishes to read it, I’ll post it to
him/her.

I'm a law student and I'm planning to translate some medieval legal
texts to Hungarian (my native tongue), so that they could be
researched by others not mastering Nordic languages.

Greetings to all,

Imre Kovacs
