Yes, I think so too :) I like it because it helps explain norse.
Before I started looking at proto-norse, I had a lot of questions
about norse. I still do ;) Even if you speak a language, you will
still have questions about it if you are an inquisitive, curious
person. This is, no doubt, true about any language.

I am beginner in proto-norse ;) I work on it a little when I find
the time, mostly out of a curiousity about why norse is as it is.
Also, I find it interesting that my ancestors spoke this language,
which I think is really just the same language in older clothes.
If you are interested in proto-germanic, gothic, proto-norse, etc.,
you can join the public yahoo group Theudiskon, which is a small
group for people interested in working on reconstruction projects
relating to these languages.
