Your pronunciation description is quite reasonably accurate
for a first approximation.
You're right that I don't speak English flawlessly.
I have a sort of phony British accent that I don't think
would fool even a self-described "hick" :)
I don't write English flawlessly either. If you pay careful
attention to a couple of my letters or so you're bound to find
some error that a native speaker would not make.
