Hi Laurel!

This has gone really well again!  Only a couple of small things...

ok þykkir þeim sá maðr hafa gơrt sik oerit djarfan, er þetta hefir til tekit.

and - it seems - to them - this - man - has - made/acted - himself - enough (as adv.) - bold - who - this - has - undertaken

and it seemed to them that this man had made himself bold enough, to choose to take this (action.)

As you rightly say "er þetta hefir til tekit." is literally "who this has undertaken (done)"

You had the word "who" in your literal translation, but lost it in the final version!

Hirðmenn hafa nú sama vanda, ok kasta fyrst beinum smám um þvert gólfit til Bơðvars og Hattar.

Retainers - take up - now - same - bad/evil - and - cast/throw - first - bones - small - across - the floor - towards - Bodvarr - and - Hood

(The) retainers now took up (the) same evil (sport), and at first threw small bones across the room towards Bodvarr and Hood.

"vanda" comes from "vandi" (weak, masculine noun) meaning "custom or habit"

Ok nú mælti Hơttr til Bơðvars “Bokki sæll, nú ferr at þér stór knúta, ok mun þetta ætlat okkr til nauða.”

And - now - said - Hood - to - Bodvarr - fellow - fortunate - now - goes (fara at = to attack?) - towards - you - great/huge - knucklebone - and - must - that - intends - us two - to - distress/harm

And now Hood said to Bodvarr, "Dear bucko, a huge knucklebone is now launching towards you, and that (attack) must intend us harm."

As you rightly say "ferr at þér" means "goes towards you".  The word "at" is a preposition which governs the case that the pronoun "þú" takes.

"ok mun þetta ætlat okkr til nauða".  Here "þetta" refers to the "knúta" which is coming at them so perhaps we could simply say ... a huge knuckle-bone is now launching towards you which is intended to harm us.

A grand job well done!

Bye for now,

Sarah.
