Hello,
Well, this is very much like one of those old
folk songs or ballads. I do not think Norwegian
since the language differed there. (The Norwegians
did not use Danish when they sang their folk songs,
but rather the various Norwegian dialects)

So my guess is that it is from Grundtvig's famous collection
of Danish folk songs. But i am only saying that because
it is the first name that springs to mind, and because his is
the most well known and most comprehensive.

If you have access to a university library, please
look for these books:
"Danmarks gamle folkeviser / efter forarbejder af Svend Grundtvig.
author, editor: Grundtvig, Svend
Printed in Copenhagen : Selskabet til den danske Literaturs Fremme ;
København : Otto B. Wroblewskis Boghandel ; København : Gyldendalske
Boghandel ; København : J. H. Schultz ; København : Universitets-
Jubilæets danske Fond, 1853-1958.
10 volumes in 12.

If you search for "folkeviser" or "ballader" on the net
you might also find lists of titles of folk songs.
You might find your "Ballad of the Girl who was lost
in the Troll-forrest" there.
