Subject: [norse_course] Re: Entering and Recieving Icelandic Characters

Hello,
Periodically this topic always comes up.
In old postings you can find a lot of info.
Personally I don't use an Icelandic font, because
my keyboard isn't Icelandic.
á é í ý ú ó Á É etc..
are all quite easy to make on a normal keyboard
without any special fonts. You just prefix the ´ sign
and then type the letter. How to prefix depends
on keyboard. Do you have the [Alt Gr] key?
Edh and Thorn are however not built in and have to be accessed
by means of the [Alt] key. e.g. <press Alt key> 0 1 5 4 <relase Alt
Key> gives þ = 'thorn' etc.
For Edh use 0240 etc.. Any way, these are the standard
ISO char codes, and can be found in any printer manual.

Good Luck!
Xigung
