Sæl Alfta!

I´ve just visited your site and was very impressed.  But it made me realise that my original idea probably isn´t appropriate... but here it is anyway - Olafur Ragnarsson has recently written a book about Halldór Laxness which I´m sure many English-speaking people would love to see in translation, but I don't think it fits very well with the ethos of your site... what do you think?

Kveðja,
Sarah.

Subject: [norse_course] Book translation recommendation

 Heil all!

Some of you may be familiar with the site for which I am the web-mistress for, Northvegr.  Although our site is primarily religious in nature, we have always made great efforts to maintain a scholarly level in our Northern European Studies section.  We have just recently been contacted by someone who is offering to translate an Icelandic book into English and donate the text to our site.  This translation is for a scholarship and it needs to be an Icelandic book written in the last 200 years that has never been translated into English before.

I was thinking that a book dealing with the history of medieval (or before) Iceland, Norway, Sweden or Denmark would be a great addition to the site and one that readers of English would find most interesting.

Does anything have any suggestions?
