Having read your response to Arlie, I want to have
another go at ...The brothers were both big and strong...
Broeðrnir váru bæði miklir ok sterkir
But I´m confused as to what part of speech bæði is
in this context. I don´t think it can be a conjunction because
conjunctions introduce either another main clause
hann er mikill ok broðir hans er
sterkr
or a subordinate clause
I will come so that I can meet
you
Is bæði an adverb? I know they can
modify verbs, adjectives or other adverbs - or at least they can in
English!!!
