Hello,

One book that a friend of mine who is a rune scholar recommends is 'Runes.
Reading the Past" by R.I.Page. Published by The University of California
Press. ISBN 0-520-06072-5. It is not a new-age/metaphysical publication.
Strictly scholarly work and in english. I picked up my copy a couple of
years back from Barnes and Noble, so it should still be in print.
