I am? Well, I suppose I'm descended from Goths just like anyone else with
ancestors from continental Europe...

Less scary than Óðinn stuff :->

Well, on the topic of Old Norse, Völuspá 35 (Codex Regius version) reads:

Haft sá hun liggja
undir Hveralundi,
lægjarns líki
Loka áþekkjan;
þar situr Sigyn,
þeygi um sínum
ver velglýjuð.
Vituð ér enn - eða hvað?

Note that last line is used in Völuspá when the völva has said something
she knows is valuable, and is asking Óðinn if he wants to hear more - the
first time she asks, he gives her armrings and gems, indicating that she's
using this phrase as the cliché "cross my palm with silver if you wish me
to continue" - so the fact that the one bound "lægjarns líki Loka áþekkjan"
is valuable information...

I don't know who is bound, but they look like Loki's appearance.

Incidentally, I don't know if it's hitting Norway right now as well, but a
remake of the movie Planet of the Apes just got released a couple weeks
ago, which is the reference for my sig comment.
