Heill ves þú John!

Right now I just put up ON pronunciation as an intial version.
The version now playing is recorded at too low a volume so I will put
another, louder pronunciation up. I would like to do that until I get
it perfect. I need to get the pronunciation down first before I start
reading and recording Skirnismal. I will probable put the first 5
verses of Skirnismal up this weekend.
The way I look at it, initially it will be not as I want it, but
as I continually add on to it, my pronunciation will be more accurate
and fluid, so the as the years progress I will remove those
recordings of lesser quality until all of it will be sound.
As a note, I have choosen to use the reconstructed Old Norse
pronunciation rather then Icelandic. Most of use do not live in
Iceland and we here have to oportunity to construct Old Norse as
scholars has determined it to be. It seems logical that each country
has its own nuiances of language, e.g. Great Britian pronunciation
vs. American English pronunciation. We have the oportunity to start
from scratch. In universities here in the U.S. that teach ON, I
believe they use ON reconstructed pronunciation as well.

Beztr,
Anþanrikr
