Yes, the clause introduced by ok doesn't seem to add much when translated
literally in English anyhow. Perhaps it sounds a little odd to us because
Norse favours parataxis where English likes subordinate clauses a bit more?
That was my reason for translating it with "as" anyhow, though it's not a
literally translation of course.

I don't have any objection to "livelong" by the way. It just reminded me a
little of that old song, "I've Been Working on the Railroad". :)

Welcome to Odric as well. Have you heard what's going on with this course
