Hei List!

I now did an experiment with Zoega's dictionary:
I copied some of the pages of Zoega's Dictionary
of OLD ICELANDIC on a Xerox copier. Then I used
Netscapes "composer" (=the editor that comes with
the newer versions of Netscape) to copose a page
layout that looks as much as possible like the original.
I saved it as html code. ("composer" allows you to
do that).

There was however a problem: As I looked at the source code
I saw that it was very ugly, with constant repetitions
of the instruction to use the same font over and over again.
I therefore edited the html source code somewhat, purging
it from all the garbage, you might say. So now the source code
looks readable on the human level too.

I then saved the source code as "text", and uploaded the file
to the groups file area, where you may take a look at it!
(please do!) Does any one else have a copy of Zoega that has
the same title page setup?

For some reason it does not appeal to me that the dictionary
might end up with lots of messy html code that has a different
format for each page. If lots of people are going to participate,
we shall need a common model that is as simple as possible.
I should therefore like to discuss the best type of layout
with the others. So please do take a look at the source code
too. Please criticize it. Maybe there are some tricks that
might improve it.

Best regards
Keth
