Might be. However, I have an ancient X installation at home which
definitely doesn't do modern X-related ports/packages. And with my
screen, I don't use X often, anyway, but rather the text console
(ASCII/Latin1). And I think it'd be possible to format things like
language lessons in HTML or even plain text without much hassle or loss.
And it's quite a bit more lightweight to read lessons with the same
browser used to download it (even lynx, if the HTML is about standards
compliant) instead of starting up a program I don't use for anything
else.

Still, thanks for the advise, as well as the labor of teaching
something!
