Happy New Year to all,

(Gleðilegt nýtt ár!)

This list has been quite *dead* over the past holiday season. Me and
Haukur have not been very active, mainly because we were at home,
whence we don't have direct access to the university net, which makes
our work less efficient. In any case, we just want to state that our
recent inactivity is not a sign of us not going to work on the list
much more. We are, as of now, "back in business"; that is, we're back
to going to the uni every weekday and working on this course.

*However*; the course hasn't developed exactly as we planned, so we
need to adapt to that a bit. I'm talking about the very different
pace at which we and some students are going on the one hand, and at
which many other students are going on the other. Many members here
don't have much time for doing the lesson work; we respect that. But
we also respect that other students have time and interest for it and
want to get on with it. Therefore, we're going to set ourselves a
standard pace; if you don't "keep up", that's no problem, people
should just study at their own pace. No need to apologize to us for
not having time to do the lessons etc.

So, we intend to publish roughly one lesson per week. If we're
publishing lesson 5 and you're hardly through lesson 2, don't panic;
you can all submit solutions to any lesson and ask us any questions
you have. And ANY discussion in the group is warmly welcome, by all
means.
