I have just received a letter indicating that one of our about to retire
SCA queens wishes to use the title Greifynja, which the alternate titles
list gives as the Old Norse equivalent of Countess.

Is this correct? And if so, could someone provide me with an
English-equivalent pronunciation guide, including which syllable gets the
emphasis?

Sorry for the interruption in your regularly scheduled classes.
