Merely on linguistic ground ( unfortunately thats inadequate and flexible enough, can get twisted easily at any point ) The Homeland of Vedic Aryans (thats the India, indeed), neither can be disputed nor can be decided.

One must understand that in addition to the linguistic study of terminology thats studied well in the past and is continute to be center of attraction due to similarity found in majority of europian languages with vedic sanskrit, study of well defined Meters ( Brihati, Virat, Viraaj, Trishtup, Jagati etc. ) used in Vedic Hymns are equaly important and should be included in the scope of linguistic studies.

Such meters are conspicuous by their absence in the languages and dialects spoken in europe, therefore, the linguistic similarity traced in vedic Sanskrit and other europian languages doesnt approve theories like AIT/AMT/OIT or whatsoever theory ever made in the past, that what gets approved is in fact, the left overd Vedic Aryans settlements, colonies and altars that's spread over several parts of europe ceased to continue and therefore metrical knolwedge was lost in europian languages.

Over the long period, the continuity of relationship with the homeland of Vedas was broken. obviously, no scripture like Vedas even at a lower scale could ever be made by europian branchaes of Aryans, We also hardly find signs of continuity of faith in Vedic Gods, In most of the mythologies made in europian languages, down the line, Vedic Gods were transformed into new regional Gods, In this context, Its notable to see how a Vedic Rishi catagorically expresses nostalgia in Rigveda after the prolonged expeditions to distant places beyond the high mountains and region of seven rivers, The Rishi reminds himself of that staying in such places for long is not good and he has to come back to his homeland.

E V Arnold has not dealt with this aspect in his treatise on Vedic Meters in the hindsight of theories like AIT/AMT/OIT nor M Witzel nor Talegri, and Koenraad Eist seems to not having an iota of idea that how important Vedic Meters are when one goes to trace homeland of Vedic Aryans.

Last 150 Yrs have been the period of inadequate, unqualified arguments on the matter of homeland of Vedic Aryans, such arguments are made without proper study of the vedic texts, as an obvious result, wrong theories like AIT,AMT,OIT are produced.

This is the reason, I raise need of open forum debates as the matter cant be decided just by a few activists engaged in writing books nor we can allow them to capture the debate, Lets have series of world level conventions on the matter to close the debate on this matter, in fact, solution is pretty straightforward.

 Dear Dr Brighenty,

Have you checked with Arnaud if he knows Sanskrit? Or perhaps you know Sanskrit? What about Vedic Sanskrit?
