That's right. Germanic *xursa-/*xrussa- 'horse' comes from IE *krs- 'to run', which I regard as a pre-Kurganic word cognate to Yeniseian *ku?s 'horse' and NEC *GHwo:r[tS?]o 'deer, game'. The latter would be linked to Spanish corzo/a and Portuguese corço/a.

By contrast, the Kurganic cognate would be *jork-o- 'deer' (Celtic, Greek), with metathesis as *j- would correspond to the NEC affricate.
