I meant exclusively Gaulish within Celtic, but of course not exclusive of Gaulish as it's also found in other non-Celtic and non-IE languages.

The Basque toponyms Irun, Iruña (Pamplona) are continuation of an old *il-o(:)n ~ *el-o(:)n (e.g. Pompailo:n in Strabo) whose second element corresponds to Gaulish -bo(:)na and -ipon in SW Iberia. The latter seems to have a VC class-prefix *?i- found also in other words as in e.g. Gascon i-sart, Catalan i-sard, Aragonese i-xarzo, chi-zard(o) 'Pyrenean chamois (Rubricapra pyrenaica)'.
