I was wondering if the Indian pair Surya (sun-god) and Surya: (sun's daughter)
represents a synchretic way to include two different conceptions (SUn god and
goddess) or Surya: was simply another PIE deity.

Sun is a female in Northern Europe (Germans and Balts), male in Rome, Greece,
India and Slavic area.
Surya: could correspond to Sun's daughters Saules meitas, linked to Heavenly
Twins.

Was PIE Sun male or female? PIE Sun-god was son of Night-Goddess
(NokWt-/Leh2trh2), violated by her father Sky-Father (*Dyeus). Have this
Sun-Gond a daughter or a couple of daughters? Compare original twin kharites to
Slavic Zorias and Nordic Gerdr, the shiny-armed maiden. Sky Twins were linked to
a goddess, their goddess or sister, compare Nasatyau/Surya: to Dioskouroi/Helene
and Atreidai/Helene.
