LOL. The failure to distinguish between the genus _Equus_ (in general)
and the domesticated horse opens some new vistas. The oldest known
species of _Equus_ (_E. simplicidens_) comes from the Pliocene of North
America. It proves beyond reasonable doubt that chariots were used in
America almost 4 million years ago.
