It's not that bad. I think eg. *kam-t- belongs on the forest-steppe border, but *dr-an,W- belongs on the amber trail.

Somebody, I forgot the name, in the 19th century made up a number of technical terms in Estonian straight out of his head, eg. relv "weapon". I hope there weren't many people like that in PIEland.
