Unfortunately, speakers of PIE and Old Indic didn't think so. /ms/ was
not a permissible syllable onset in either language, nor was /sm/ a
permissible syllable coda. And, of course, there is no *-ms- suffix, let
alone a suffix complex like *-ms-es-, which you would need in <bHam.sas->.
