There's a lot of s-stem nouns in Greek whose meaning falls into meanings of body parts, organs, parts of living beings. I don't know if this could represent a PIE heritage or innovations:

brephos (gen. brephous < *brephesos) "foetus, embryo"

ernos "twig,branch, sprout"
hapsos "member joint"
helkos "wound" (cf. Latin ulcus, Skt ars^as)
kheilos "lip"
kyos "foetus, baby"
lepos "bean SHEATH"
me:dos "male organ"
meros "part"
pesos "corpse, load, fallen body"
skelos "leg, member"
skylos "animal hide"
skythos "idem"
stelekhos "stem"
tekos "child, baby"
rhethos "member, face"
rhamphos "bird of prey's beak"
rhygkhos "beak, nose"
melos "member, joint"
anthos "flower"
ste:thos "chest"
