Well, I'm from California and I think my English is perfect. : )
I was born here and you'd think there would be a heavy Latino influence on Anglo speech, but I can't think of any changes so far; but mostly what I hear is heavy -r endings and pal being pronounced 'peh-al', maybe the fronting of 'cool' too.
"For sure" ends in a long, long -r.
And of course: 'whateverrr!'

Is Franco-Provencal, as distinct from Parisian and Occitan, distinguished by any particularities not found in either neighbor? Or is it audible anywhere on YouTube?

To me, California English sounds like a fronted, less nasal version of Midwestern English where /k/ often becomes /ky/ --as in kewl
I compare it to Chilean Spanish, which is fronted, where la gente de Chile often comes out as /la hyente De tsyile/
