Translation (it is horrible, I know)

12. L/ampad ld. Bol/wy (d. Desny) in the Z.ydran´ie(?) district b.
gub. kal/uskiej.

Furthermore in the whole northeast Russia in historical times by
Finnish tribes we meet very often names built on the same core (eg.
L/ampa river in the Ural mountains, L/amba d. Jarani w b. gub.
wjackiej etc.), which are undoubtedly of Finno-Ugric origin and
appears in numerous appellatives like Finnish lampi 'small lake,
pond', lammikko 'puddle, pond', Saami labbak 'swamp', Hung. láp láb
'flooded area' etc. Strange is in that connection the isolated word
Greek lámpe: 'dirt, mould, sheepskin on ?' and the place names Lampa,
Lappa on the island of Crete: we may have here until we can make a
decision on relics a primeval connection between the IE and Uralic
languages(178).'

selk. (Erd.)

entfernten Verwandtschaft unsicher.
Das a in tscher. (Wichm.: FUF 7: 42) KB J U lap 'niedrig' spricht
gegen eine Zusammenstellung mit tscher. lop (Beke: NyK 45: 344). Zu
tscher. lap s. *lappV 'flach, platt; Fläche' U.
Zu dem irrtümlich hierher gestellten ung. láp 'Moor, Sumpfwiese;
angeschwemmte Schütte von Schilf, Stroh und Heu, welche während einer
Überschwemmung vom Wasser fortgetragen und später am Ufer hinterlassen
wird' (MUSz. 683; Munkácsi: Ethn. 4: 183 [o:283], KSz. 7:252; Gombocz:
NyK 39:238; Wichmann: FUF 11: 182; NyH7; Toivonen: FUF 20: 54;
SzófSz.; FUV; SKES) s. *lVppV 'umgefallener Baum, Treibholz, auf dem
Wasser treibender Schutt' FU.'

Note the wavering between root vowel a and o, and the existence,
besides *lappV 'flach, platt; Fläche' U., of other similar, but
unrelatable, within Uralic, roots like
lakte 'Bucht' FU
lamte 'niedrig, tief; Tiefland' U
lapa 'Fläche; Blatt (an einem Gegenstand)' U
lapta 'platt, flach' U
lapV 'Ruder' U

The description in UEW that 'lampe' is a lake through which a river
flows I interpret instead as a lake through which a water route goes
(this would be more relevant to the users). The isthmus which
separated the now reclaimed Lammefjord from the Kattegat is called
Drejet, by standard interpretation the place where ships are dragged
across (remember that *dran,W- root
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/cybalist/message/61626
?), which would make also the Lammmefjord a widening of a waterway.

This is more uncertain
