Arnaud, I doubt this is a matter of hardware.

Torsten, I might help you, but I need to know:

a) which software you use to view the messages
b) the version of it
c) the operating system

This is usually a problem of coding, something Yahoo! seems to have
never figured out properly.

Arnaud, some time ago, cybalist members agreed to convert phonetic
characters to SAMPA to avoid similar problems, I suggest that you do
the same thing, since many users may have the same problem due to the
many different settings of their e-mail clients/browsers/operation
systems.

Maybe someone on the list could design a short program to do the
conversions (in javascript or something), that would be helpful,
indeed. I would do that if I had some time, of course.
