Just accidental similarity. The name of the river may be Iranian but
even in that case it's hard to imagine what it could have to do with
Mokosh, and as for the proposed relationship between <Moks^a> and Skt.
moks.a-, I'd like to see the details. Phonetic similarity is not enough.
The <o> of <moks.a-> derives from the diphthong *au (the root is PIE
*meuk- 'release, let loose'; it's Slavic cognates include *mUknoNti
'speed on').
