There are good thins and bad things about Dumezil.
I know him only through Kosambi and Bruce Lincoln.
Kosambi followed him (at least that is what I think, since Kosambi was senior to Dumezil) - follow the worship of the gods, as the followers group them and try to analyze the social factors.
Bruce Lincoln if i know rightly has condemned him.
