were traders by water (note Vinnili, western Wend names in Germany <->
Lacus Venetus (Lake Constance) <-> the Veneto province in Italy is the
later trade route between the ports of Venice and Amsterdam) it's not
strange that they should have named all European rivers; that would
also explain the strange uniformness of the language of those names
over such a large area.
