But not all languages with more than one parent are creoles.
As I use the term, a creole is a creolized pidgin or the
result of so-called abrupt creolization under certain
circumstances that permit the pidgin stage to be bypassed.
Michif is not a creole, but it is a mixed language with Cree
as primary parent and French as secondary parent.
