I will answer the content part here,in one sentence, the other unfair treatment etc can be discussed (or rather being discussed on cybalist admn) - someone has discussed something about planets here and I had to step in as a vedic astrology professional to clear the cubwebs. Ultiamtely, I have advised the debater to first read the concerned liturgical text before discussing anything.
My next post would have been how groups like this should for synthesis of various scinces- others don't know what is there in Vedic astrology, they derive their opinions from faith, which is wrong. On the other hand, vedic astrology if developed as a science in a systmatic way, it could be of much help to people. There is no second opinion about it.
Open groups like Cybalist should help the best kind of synthesis possible without being ridiculous. Most of the people , especially the scholars, who do not want to believe astrology think it is foolish to think of Such things as sciences but let me assure you that I am a post graduate in Mathematics and I can not be pushed into opinions so easily.
