Coincidently, I remember (hopefully correctly) an
entry in one of Coromines's books where he gives
Catalan sorn for "hot, muggy weather" --so if by
chance the Catalan word goes back to Celtic, then OIr
sorn may as well. There seems to be some type of
sr-/fr- dichotomy in Celtic and between Celtic and
other IE e.g. sron/fron- etc.
