Slavic is from PBS *g(^)waigzd-(ij)ah2 (Lith. z^vaigzde:~,
OCS 3vêzda, Pol gwiazda, from the PIE root *g^hwoigW- "to
shine" (Grk. phoibos).

It really takes a lot of faith
in letter games to postulate
PBS *g(^)waigzd-(ij)ah2 (sic !!)

Which other words with
that kind of cluster -gzd- exist ?

The inability to reconstruct a clean etymon
*g or *g^
in so evidently close languages
is highly suspect.

The Polish form seems to
the one to remove !?
Help, Piotr ?
