****GK: That's very interesting. I remember reading
somewhere that some have attempted to interpret the
old Lusatian culture as having "Illyrian" affinities
(through analysis of hydronyms and toponyms). It's a
reach to suppose that this vocabulary might have been
part of the Hermunduri linguistic baggage passed on to
the Thuringians. Any theories as to whence it came?
Perhaps even part of the ancient "local" lingo in that
"twixt Celts and Germans" area? Any examples?****
