I would accept a metathesis (VoicelessC+? -> VoicedC).

Could that work?

following this path :
taking C=k as example
*?k > *?g > *g

The reverse path exists :
in Vietnamese tainted Chinese dialects
where *d or *g has become ?d or *?g.
