Exactly, the cultus merged
Other non-Greek aspects of Roman mythology were either
played down or somehow adapted to Greek religion --the
Romans still had lares and penates, genii, etc.
But Jupiter was originally no closer to Zeus than he
was to Odin, Os-Padar, Dyaus-Pitar, etc
