I did not say that *¿ was "occasional".

I wrote that PAA *¿ _occasionally_ shows up in PIE as *H; normally, it shows
up as *y.

I don't think &ayin can surface in PIE as *y
in any IE language.
It's a form of good old H2.

But if you think & > PIE y
what are your examples ?
