Yes thats clear indeed (the original is not Proto-Germanic *askon)

Mind the phonological systems of both languages were rather different
some 2000-3000 years before Proto-Norse
The original would have been *[h2a(h1)zg-] = */h2e(h1)sg-/ and Finnic
would have had no velar fricative at the time
