****GK: Plenty of time for what? Oksywie begins to
switch to Wielbark from about the time of Ariovistus'
"incident". It does not do this under the impact of
Przework culture people, but due to another wave of
"Scandinavian influence". Whereas the Berig influx
comes much later, in the 2nd half of the first century
CE. It seems to me that your theory (from the Gothic
angle) just won't work, for two main reasons:(1)
"Expansion" down the Elbe+ "expansion" into Denmark +
"expansion" into Sweden + "expansion" up the Vistula
is just too implausible for such a short time span,
and (2) such an expansion (for that timeframe and for
those areas)) of Przeworsk-type culture is simply
undocumented archaeologically. We would have to assume
the "conquerors" as switching archaeological "suits"
every few months. I don't believe science finds this
approach acceptable.****
