I don't think Larry Trask was ever a student at Salamanca.
Michelena's "Fonética Histórica Vasca" is of course the
cornerstone of modern Basque historical linguistics, and as
such Michelena was Larry's teacher, as he will remain to
everyone with an interest in that field.
