Oh, and BTW, Copenhagen is burning and has been burning for four days
now, as the major cities in the provinces do too. This has nothing to
do with linguistics, but if I don't write it here, you guys will never
hear about it. I'm listening to the Swedish TV news now; no mention.

I see nothing that interferes with interpreting *HHar- (PIE *(H)a(:)r-) as
'pale'.
